A Tribute to Sangeeth Sivan’s Vision

Producer Jayesh Patel shared an emotional message about completing Kapkapiii after the untimely passing of director Sangeeth Sivan.

He said, “Sangeeth ji had already delivered the first cut of the film, so what audiences will see is completely his vision. After his unfortunate demise, this film became more than just a project it became our heartfelt promise to complete what he started. Kapkapiii isn’t your typical horror-comedy.

It’s raw, unpredictable, and packed with quirky characters that feel incredibly relatable. The film plays with fear like a playful prankster with a flashlight — always full of mischief and unexpected twists.”

Cast Reactions: An Emotional Journey

Actor Shreyas Talpade shared his thoughts on Kapkapiii and the special bond he had with the late director Sangeeth Sivan.

He said, “Just like its name, Kapkapiii is all about that chill you feel right before the scare hits. It’s one of the finest horror-comedies I’ve been part of, and you can see Sangeeth sir’s unique style in every scene. I miss him a lot — he wasn’t just a director to me, he was like a father figure with a brilliant sense of cinema.”

Tusshar Kapoor also shared his thoughts, calling the experience nostalgic:
“Kapkapiii has a very grounded setting with characters people will instantly connect to. The horror element, centred around a Ouija board, is something fresh for Hindi cinema. Sangeeth ji gave us the freedom to improvise, which made the performances more real. For me, it was a homecoming — reuniting with the team after nearly 20 years since Kyaa Kool Hain Hum.”

With a mix of supernatural suspense, relatable humour, and heartfelt memories behind the scenes, Kapkapiii is gearing up to be a unique addition to Bollywood’s horror-comedy genre — and a fitting farewell to a beloved filmmaker.
